FOUNDATION OVERVIEW
The Miss Massachusetts Scholarship Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering young women to recognize and achieve their full potential. Each year, the Foundation proudly hosts the Miss Massachusetts and Miss Massachusetts' Teen competitions—official preliminaries to the iconic Miss America and Miss America's Teen programs, which are among the largest scholarship providers for young women in the nation.

OUR MISSION
The Miss Massachusetts Program creates opportunities for personal and professional growth while amplifying the voices of young women in culture, politics, and community. Through this platform, participants are encouraged to pursue their ambitions, express their talents, and showcase their intelligence with confidence and purpose.

WHO IS MISS MASSACHUSETTS?
Miss Massachusetts represents some of the Commonwealth's most accomplished, driven, and community-focused young women. Our alumnae have gone on to become lawyers, physicians, journalists, marketing leaders, nonprofit directors, and even bestselling authors. Any young woman who meets the eligibility requirements is encouraged to compete and join this inspiring legacy.

A LEADING SOURCE OF SCHOLARSHIPS
When Bess Myerson, Miss America 1954, received the very first $5,000 scholarship in 1945, it marked the beginning of a movement. Today, the Miss America organization has awarded over $100 million in educational scholarships, making it one of the world’s largest scholarship providers exclusively for women.

IMPACT ACROSS MASSACHUSETTS
The Miss Massachusetts Program champions education and leadership, drawing ambitious, service-minded young women who are already making a difference in their communities. The program underscores the enduring value of civic responsibility, positive role models, and educational achievement—qualities that are vital to our Commonwealth's future.

COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY SERVICE
Delegates and titleholders proudly adopt platforms that champion community service and social causes. Behind the scenes, the program is powered entirely by dedicated volunteers who contribute their time and talent to support and uplift their communities.

SUPPORTING MASSACHUSETTS
The Miss Massachusetts Competition attracts hundreds of visitors, generating economic activity for local hotels, restaurants, shops, and attractions. Our educational mission also supports Massachusetts colleges and universities by connecting them with high-achieving young women and their extended networks.

FUNDRAISING EFFORTS
The Foundation’s primary fundraising focus is to provide scholarships. Additional fundraising efforts support the operational and production needs of the competition and its related events.
